What will your PICOPet become? It's up to you! Your petz' final form will depend on how well you care for it as you raise it from egg to adult (and..beyond..?)

Earn coins by playing minigames to unlock food varieties and more minigames. Once you're flush with coins you can even spend them on a massive** variety of pet decor items and game colours that have absolutely no impact whatsoever on gameplay. Wow!

And forget spending hours scrubbing up pixel poops: the timer on this virtual pet runs way faster than your average handheld pet, so you can expect to see an adult form within about 15-20 minutes of play.

Arrow keys: move between icons and menu items
X: select or confirm
Z: back or close
Enter: open the pause menu

New Game Option

Want to see a different pet? No problem: to start again from an egg, open the pause menu (Enter) and select "Abandon pet". This keeps all your earned coins and unlocks, but unfortunately makes you a heartless monster.

If you want to really start from scratch, the pause menu also includes an option to completely erase all your save data and start again - choose the menu option aptly named "Erase all", and press twice to confirm. 

How was AI used in this game?

All pixel art and sound effects in this game were made by me, a human. The minigame and game over music is made by RobbyDuguay (also a human, I believe). Only the game code was developed with support of an LLM.
